Chris Voccio is a Rhode Island native who had a 30-year career in the newspaper business, taking him across the country, before he settled in Niagara Falls.

He moved to the Falls in 2014 to run the Niagara Gazette, and retired in 2017 when he ran for a seat in the Niagara Falls City Council, an election he won. In 2021 he was elected to the Niagara County Legislature.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University in Rhode Island and a master’s degree in business administration from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
